Ordered fish chips and sausages for a family and friends. Chips where really greasy almost like they had been cooked twice. Fish was really nice. Kids would not each sausage as it was nearly black so said it was burnt. I tasted it and it was okay. Maybe fat needs changing there. They had no viniger to buy and no Savaloy's. Apart from that i think we will get from outside park next time.
OK, but with Doggers Plaice directly opposite the park, prices should be keener, portion sizes more generous & quality/taste improved.
Sorry but this isn't good at all. You'll be way better off walking out the main gate and going across the road to Doggers Plaice. Much, much better Fish and Chips, much wider menu, their curry sauce is the bomb, their portions are great. Everything "Cook's" isn't. Sorry Cook's, you guys seriously need to raise your game with such quality competition literally, right on your doorstep...
Chips where the same as they serve in the Mash and Barrel but deep fried not very nice at all or what should be expected from a fish & chip shop. Over priced as well the only positive is that the staff are nice and polite. I'd recommend giving it wide berth. Doggers place across the road are much better and cheaper
Friendly staff, good quality food and fair prices. Very clean and maintained. Only short of one star as its not clearly marked or visible where the take away is located unless your directly looking at it or if the lights are on.
