We really enjoyed our week in Coastguard Cottage. Very dog friendly, both gardens are secure, and you couldn't get closer to the beach. The cottage is much bigger than it looks, comfortable, warm and well equipped. James the owner is very helpful and friendly, gave us lots of useful information about the town and local area. Everything you need is within walking distance, five minutes to the Ship Inn and Ryan's fish and chips (best haddock and chips I've ever had), also Lidl and Co-op an easy stroll or 2 minute drive. The approach road to the cottage is very narrow but we got our 4x4 in OK with care. We're looking forward to a return visit already.

Took a week off work with the kids during the summer and the weather was amazing. You would think that the sandy beach you fall onto from the cottage that you were in the costa or maybe someone even more exciting. Knackered the kids and also mum and dad so no more little feet from this excursion. Not sure how good the experience would have been if the weather was raining but we had an amazing time. Would I go back again ? Yes.

So nice to find somewhere the wife and I can take our dogs. Do need to stress that if you are not used to keeping dogs downstairs, we are not, the first night was a bit difficult. But we took some long walks along the beautiful sandy beach which sorted that out the next night. Amazing weekend getaway with a helpful host only a few doors away if we did need him. Thanks James.

The perfect getaway from it all holiday. Literally 'on the beach' and great inside for a warm, cosy stay with all mod cons. Lovely comfy beds with a sea view from every upstairs window, big fluffy towels. A great place for dogs too - almost deserted beach goes on for miles! We've been going there a couple of times a year, out of season, for about 3 years now. Everything you need within walking distance and Yarmouth just a couple of miles away. Owner James really helpful and knowledgeable - there when you need him! It's our favourite holiday cottage!!

My significant other and I spend a few days here for New Years in 2016 and absolutely loved it! The owner/management James is amazing and welcoming and always up to sharing things about area and local things to do. It was just what the "doctor" ordered and we look forward to returning soon! If you need a break from the real world and want to wake up with sand and beach at your doorstep... look this place up!
